Changes to the AIX Qazaq Index Methodology and Constituents

Following the regular meeting of the AIX Index Committee and quarterly review, the following changes are being made effective January 5th, 2022.

The AIX Qazaq Index Methodology is amended with the creation of a Total Return version of the AIX Qazaq Index, in addition to the existing Price Return version of the same Index. Other more minor changes concern the calculation of the AIX Qazaq Index when Public Holidays affect one of the Exchanges where Index constituents are traded.

Furthermore, KCEL is added to the AIX Qazaq Index effective January 5th, 2022. There are no deletions.

The Astana International Financial Centre was established on the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev as part of the National Plan "100 steps to implement five institutional reforms". On July 2, 2020, as part of the meeting of the AIFC Management Council, the Center's Development Strategy was adopted until 2025.
